Food For All
MWVEG wants to help make local food accessible to community members of all income levels. In 2021, we started the Food for All Program as a response to the gap in accessibility to locally grown food for community members that either don’t qualify for SNAP or choose not to participate. 9.3% of Carroll County residents are food insecure but 39% of these individuals are ineligible for federal nutrition incentive programs. In 2021, we raised $4,000 that was given to 18 families to purchase food through farm CSA shares or Farm Store/Market Credit Programs at 7 of our partner farms.
In March 2022, we raised over $5,500 in our Annual Food For All Silent Auction. We hope you will support the local businesses that donated to our effort.
We hope to keep this program ongoing for as long as possible. If you'd like to help support this cause please share your kindness by donating to the program!
